Varun Dhawan Is Ekta Kapoors Hero Once Again
David Dhawan returns to the banner for movie based on Chetan Bhagat's bestseller
A few days ago, Ekta Kapoor announced the celluloid version of Chetan Bhagat’s best seller Half Girlfriend.
SpotboyE.com has it that the lead male character, Madhav, will be played by Varun Dhawan, who is quite on a roll in his career at the moment.
Last year, Varun starred in Ekta's Main Tera Hero, which set the cash registers ringing rather loudly.
The film's female lead is still to be decided, but a few days back, Kriti Sanon fuelled rumours that shed play the female lead when she wore a dress similar to what the main female character, Riya Somani, wore in the movie. The dress was designed by Masaba.
But suddenly, Mahesh Bhatts daughter, Alia left her fans confused when she posted the cover of the book on her Twitter account, leaving them wondering whether the SOTY (Student of the Year) girl was in talks to play Riya.
Will Varun and Balaji Motion Pictures be able to recreate the magic once again? Time will tell.
